My mustang recently blew a spark plug out of the head and this kit was a life saver. First off it was shipped amazingly quick, next Time-Sert designed this kit and the included instructions very well.
The longest part of this repair was the prep work because of the way that my Mustang is set up. Follow each step as outlined on the instruction sheet and you can not go wrong. I was done with this repair in about two hours, since this is the first time that I have done this I consider that a decent time.
The replacement spark plug went in with no issues once the insert was installed, checked the torque and fired up my engine. Running like it should. This is a great kit and costs about the same as someone would quote you to put in a heli-coil which can fail eventually. This kit is so good at what it does that Ford has approved it as an acceptable repair for this issue. Also this was done over the fender, I did not need to remove the heads to do this repair, another bonus in my book.
I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone with a Ford engine that has had a problem with spark plugs being blown out of their heads.

The product worked as advertized. One of the stages when reaming required the piston to be down, not up because the tool will come into contact with the top of the piston. The steel sleeve is a 'must', others advertise that they have hardened aluminum sleeves, and they brag about the expansion and contraction rate being so important -- what a load of baloney, all spark plugs are made of steel. And, if you know anything about physics, aluminum softens as it goes through the heat cycles of an engine's life. This is why the threads strip from the factory cylinder heads, even if you've never taken any of the spark plugs out. This kit fixes that problem because instead of having only three or four threads interfacing the aluminum you get about 3/4 of an inch of threads. If you are going to work on the Ford 4.6, 5.4, 6.8s this is the best tool you can buy. The Lock-n-stitch tool that Ford recommends, would require the removal of the head to get the job done properly. That's stupid because at that point you just put on a new head and forego buying that product.

Excellent kit! Well made...very high quality. Take your time and it works like a charm. I recommend using a bore scope. Harbor Freight has one for cheap. Total repair for one plug took about 2.5 hours. I took my time. Fished out ALL the shavings that fell into the cylinder. If you follow the directions, you can't go wrong.
