1. I was amazed at how big the stand was, but it needs to be in order to be stable.
2. I was glad it included a hook to hang my chair from.
3. However, the little packet holding all the screws and washers was open, and the big cardboard box sustained some beatings, so I lost a couple of washers through the holes in the box, but thankfully all the screws and most washers were still in the package.
4. I don't know about other chairs, but my hand-woven one sat very low on the stand. In fact, when I sat down, my backside sat at the base of the stand. But since my chair is handmade, it was easy to alter its height.
5. Now, I am VERY happy with my hammock-chair stand.
6. Note: I had to put a couple of rugs underneath it to keep the stand from scratching my floor, but now we are good to go.

This stand is nice but...
1)I wish it was just a tad taller. About 4-6 inches added to the height would make my chir not sit quite so close to the bottom of the stand. I does work, though. (My chair was a gift from my mother-in-law from her trip to Honduras and is really nice.)
2)Wish it came in more than one finish - but it can be painted. I am considering using a Rustoleum Paint for outdoors in a bronze-like finish. The black looks good - for black, but I would like to soften it a bit.
The stand is heavy, but I was able to put it together w/o my hubby's assistance (he was out of town and I couldn't wait). Have only had it a few weeks, but it is in the weather (though partially under a tree) so we will see how it holds up.
This was the best price I found - even with expensive shipping. But I haven't seen many in person, so I really don't have a lot to compare it to.

I have two Dreamweaver hammock chairs and a new deck. I ordered one of these and it works perfectly. Isn't unsightly and doesn't take up too much room. Will hold the 'biggest' of my friends. Easy to put together. Comes with the tools you need to set it up. Couldn't be happier. I was given a range of deliverly dates and it arrived on the first day of the range.
Just ordered an second one for my other hammock chair, can't wait to get it.
