The product is pretty much as advertised. I wanted one with the lip to fit underneath my desk and mine came with it, but I see that other people received ones which didn't. Otherwise it protects the floors well and doesn't move around on the hardwood. 4 stars because it did take ~4 weeks to arrive, and yes there is a mild odor associated with it which made my wife think that a skunk walked in. I am not that bothered by it though. Mine was delivered flat.

No complaints. Chair mat arrived quickly (3-4 days) by UPS. Was packaged flat (not rolled up) and ready to use. I'm using it on top of an old worn and cracked chair mat which covers carpet. The new mat does not slide around over the old one. Seems to be good quality.

Purchased as an alternative to tacky "splat mats". First I have to say I got this on sale and I would deal with my other tacky options before I'd pay retail for this item. With that said, I like it because it blends in and protects the wood floors with enough coverage to get the job done while not being cumbersomely large. Mine came to me shipped in a flat "box" which was really an over-sized cardboard envelop. I don't mine minimalist packaging, but it came in my absence. The delivery driver just propped it against our fence and the wind blew it down. For two days my husband was walking past it not realizing it wasn't a collapsed box (we'd just move into a new home). As for the other comments about a strong odor, this wasn't a problem. I will note that the image of this mat is accurate, but the dimensions make it seem like it won't have that tongue. It does and those dimensions are from widest to longest with a fair bit of area "wasted" for the tongue, so keep that in mind if it matters to you.
