The product has a nice weight and is obviously solid brass. I would say it's a good value for the price, and would look nice on a desk or as a decorative piece. There are no instructions for its use included, so if you wanted to use it for more than decoration you'd have to do your own research. The compass needle moves freely, but has quite a bit of wobble. Probably not a practical instrument, but a nice decorative one. I was planning to use it as decor, so I am very satisfied.

I am absolutely delighted with this miniature sun dial. I checked the lattitude of Denver CO, took the sun dial out to the patio, raised the dial, oriented the compass, and the sun dial was accurate to within 15 minutes. A wonderful conversation piece. It did not come with instructions, but common sense provided the information required to use it.

The device isn't really a compass, though it has one, functional though not designed for real use (this item is unashamedly a desk toy). What it is (or would be if it were real) is a timepiece. You use the compass to orient the thing, swing up the gnomon (the triangular bit that throws the shadow on the sundial) and tilt the dial to match your current latitude which you read off the short curved scale shown on the picture in order to get the right time.

At least, I think that's what you do - there are no documents, instructions or descriptive matter included with it. I figured it out by thinking about it.

It's a nifty thing to look at, but isn't manufactured to the kind of standard that would make it truly functional. The latitude index isn't aligned with the dial hinge so it can't give an accurate setting, there are no indexing marks on the compass bezel to align the axis of the gnomon and though theoretically a device like this could be used as a compass by swinging the dial vertical and sighting using the gnomon base as the sight to get a bearing, it is too thick and probably isn't aligned with the compass pivot, and there's no marking on the case to align your eye with.

Indeed, mine wasn't manufactured well enough to withstand display on a desk since one of the screw-adjustable legs had been made smaller than the matching fitting in the unit itself.

I could probably have gotten an exchange but I'm going to be using this as part of a bigger steampunk prop, so I crazyglued the bad leg and saved myself the hassle.

So if you want a desk toy and can live with the chance you may have to return it, you'll get what you expect for a reasonable price. If you want a functional desk miniature, you need to look elsewhere and be prepared to spend a *lot* more money.

I bought these to go with a Pyle DVD / Monitor setup in my van. We put batteries in and the headsets worked with no set up. Very easy to use. They adjust in size for each of my children, aged 3 to 10 and were comfortable to wear. I wish that there was a way to lock in the volume or allow volume to be controlled by the multimedia center so that the younger kids don't turn it all the way up, though.

The only thing I am surprised about is how quickly the batteries drain. They didn't last both ways on an 8 hour drive. Rechargeable highly recommended.

Having read all the positive reviews and just a handful of negative ones, I decided to purchase the Exomount. I received it in the mail today and immediately went to test it in my car. I cleaned the surfaces, mounted the exomount, clamped it in, and it wouldn't even hold for 3 seconds. Considering how this product is advertised to supposedly mount to "anything", I had an extremely hard time believing I couldn't get it to mount to my dash or other parts of my car. I even tried the drywall in my bedroom and it stuck initially, but a couple minutes later, I heard it fall. Extremely disappointed. This is definitely going back...

I bought this to replace my phone specific mount after I upgraded phones. The "suction cup" is mildly sticky and if pressed against a surface normally provides a superior grip. The base then has a lever to push down to pull the rubber up and create a tighter vacuum underneath. I have tried it on a roughly painted wall, smooth metal filing cabinet, smooth plastic and my "rough" dashboard. The grip is tremendous. This portion of the product is far superior to any other "grip" on the market.

This would get a definite 5 stars, but the plastic is "cheap". It doesnt appear it would easily break, but it also doesnt seem sturdy either. The clamp portion pivots on a typical ball and socket joint as seen on other similar items. I am disappointed with the arm and the joint however. They seem not sturdy enough to absorb small road vibration or, worse, larger ones. The device stays perfect in the clamp and the base stays stuck, but there is considerable road vibration translated to the phone itself. If you are using this for a dash-cam mount (like I do sometimes) the vibration is very noticeable. Using the phone as in GPS or other modes its not so bad as you arent intently focused on the phone's screen.

I would love to see version two of this system with a much better vibration dampening system built into it and it would be perfect.

The product is very well made, it fits my phone perfectly. I am able to use my phone as a dash cam as I drive now and that is what I mostly wanted with a mount. The mount does indeed stick to anything. I didn't even have to clamp it down for it to stick to my windshield. Once I did the mount was very stable. I am very impressed.

I was very pleased with this charger. I was considering a portable charger but was advised that it may not work if the battery is too low. My van would not start after some cold weather and my battery was so low that the interior lights were out. After reading info about other chargers I decided on this one. I read the directions connected it and it did the job. I called Black and Decker and they were very helpful with any questions I had. This is a small price to pay for the convenience, certainly better then having to call a tow truck. It's portable and lightweight, stores easy.I never charged a battery in my life and I was able to do it.

A park tool repair stand for $150 is highway robbery...until you buy this thing. I'll walk you through the disappointment to save you some time: Open the instructions and wade through the mislabeled parts, broken english, and worthless pictures. Do your best to guess which parts go together, then consult the photos online to actually get it together. Next, make sure to go through and tighten the factory installed bolts after you realize they are all loose. After that, give the company a call to order a new "clamp" hook because the one in the box is missing a couple threads. While you're waiting on that, take a contractor's knife and reshape the bottom bracket "cradle" so it's actually the shape of a bottom bracket. After the new clamp comes, hoist up your bike and, with arms outstretched, quickly realize there isn't enough clearance between your down tube and front tire to allow the front wheel to sit straight. Curse. Apologize to anyone who heard you and find some string. Use the string to tie the front wheel to the bike frame to keep it from pivoting. Begin working, but make sure to ALWAYS keep one hand on the bike. After the bike falls the first time, find a child to help you hold the bike upright while you work (perhaps they should wear a helmet?) The second time the bike falls, send the child to their room, then find some more string. With the string, tie the bike's downtube to the downtube "cradle" to tighten things up. Spend the third and fourth falls figuring out which parts of the bike are off limits to wrenching. With Each fall makes your reflexes faster and teaches you about the physics of applied torque. Once you're a master, the sky is the limit (as well as the seat post bolt, the brake mount bolts, and the rear wheel quick release). There you go! It only takes six days, ten feet of string, and a bent deraileur hanger. Let those other chumps spend $75 more dollars.

JUNK! read the reviews thought it was the best for the price but it can barely hold a bike on it. it kept falling off when i wasnt looking and slamming to the ground. i dont even understand how they can call this a repair stand when it is barely a bike stand. as soon as you tug on the bike it falls off. spend a little extra and save yourself the disappointment DONT BUY THIS

This bike stand works is fine for cleaning and light repairs. If you're going to be doing some heavy duty work, it may not be stable enough. Like others have said, the assembly directions leave a lot to be desired but it's pretty simple to figure out anyway. I made a couple of modifications. First, I removed the spring that comes on the threaded, u-shaped bolt that secures the bike frame to the stand. That made a huge difference on the stability and makes me wonder if the people who complained about the stability didn't think to try that. The second modification was the screw and wing nut that locks the stand into place. It's too short. I wont to Lowes and picked up a longer bolt and wing nut. Works fine. The threads are metric so you'll need a M8-1.25 x 50 bolt.

Our hybrid bike fits up there fine. My road bike sits on the stand with no problem but the upper bracket is close enough to the front tire to not allow it to be secured with the supplied bracket. When working on the road bike, I use a short bungee cord to secure the front wheel. Otherwise, decent little work stand for a reasonable price.

I would prefer to use a Lexar CF for the speed and reliability but their priced so high it cuts into my lens budget! I've used Sandisks and found them a good solid card also but I was really leery of using a Kingston on a professional job. Speed is very important to me but also I want a very reliable card.

I shoot with a Nikon D300 using a D70 as a backup. I started using 4GB Kinston CF cards this summer - I just couldn't ignore the great price and solid reviews. I use cards in less than ideal situations, a thunder storm, dusty dirty days, crazy hot days - so far not in snow... I have filled, downloaded and reformatted the four cards I purchased this year at least 10 times each. I've never had a card so much as hiccup. For the price it's five stars!

I have some Extreme IV cards that I like but wanted to have extra CF cards for the times I did not have the ability to download my shots or if the worse case scenario happened and a card went bad.

I purchased a couple of these cards since the price was right and they were available in a good size (4 Gigs)

These cards have been reliable and performed well if not quite to the same level as the SanDisk in terms of burst shooting from what I could tell. For most shooting this is probably not going to be an issue. For parties, family get togethers and similar things these are fine.

It is more situations where you want to get every possible shot in high speed shooting modes with RAW that it could be an issue.

If you do not really see yourself worrying about the high speed modes often (and even then a slight performance increase) then these are a good buy.
